When designing a led lamp, it is important to have a dead battery on hand. Remove its top using a knife while at the same time snipping all its solder joints that are connected to its terminal cap. Once done, pull out the cap carefully before proceeding. You are supposed to mark and at the same time trim the led legs in order to get your connections right. Use the correct procedure of bending the legs so that you can have them close to each other. The legs that are on the outer should be left untrimmed.

The next thing that you will do is to solder the LEDs together ensuring they are lined up side by side. One done, you can mount the LEDs to the top of the battery ensuring that the legs are in perfect position. Attach the old battery to a fresh one and snap the terminal of the led cluster cap that easily fits on the fresh battery. Then you are good to go in turning your lamp on.
